Miss Jewelry pageant contest to be probed
VietNamNet Bridge – Two contestants and a former advisor to Miss Jewelry beauty contest have accused some jury members of misbehavior and competent bodies will investigate the case. The first person who raised an accusation is Phan Nhu Thao, 20, from Ca Mau province. This girl entered the top ten beauties at the Miss Vietnam Global 2007. However, she failed in the Miss Jewelry 2007 competition. After the beauty contest closed, Thao's manager called some journalists to accuse a member of the jury of asking her to pay for one of the four sub-prizes but Thao refused. This contestant also said that some other competitors received the same offer and they agreed. After that, another competitor, Nguyen Thi Xuan Trang from HCM City, gave the same accusation.
